Denim Care Guide
The Denim lovers among us will understand that we originally never wash a Jeans. That is better for the fit, color and lifespan of the pants. It gives a real denim look to wear the shape and wash in yourself with wearing, but nowadays that is often done differently, and we just throw it in the washing machine...
We stand by the quality of our trousers and believe that it is best to invest in good jeans with a long lifespan, because the longer your jeans last, the better it is for the environment.
We stand by the quality of our trousers and believe that it is best to invest in good jeans with a long lifespan, because the longer your jeans last, the better it is for the environment.
But how do you ensure that your jeans last as long as possible, without too much effort?
We will explain this to you below!
1. Wash as little as possible
Jeans are best left to air out, or steam in the bathroom during a hot shower. Do you have a stain? Just remove it with a little mild soap. Usually jeans are washed out of habit after 2 days of wearing, without them being dirty, stained or smelling unpleasant. A waste of water, a waste of the environment and a waste of your jeans, because they wear out a lot faster with so many washes.
2) Wash economically
2) Wash economically
We recommend that you put your Jeans in the washing machine after wearing them at least 3 times. Never wash your Jeans at a temperature higher than 30 degrees (preferably in ECO mode), and inside out with closed buttons and zippers to prevent color loss. Although it rarely happens, we recommend that you wash your Jeans with similar colors to be on the safe side, to prevent the indigo (color) from leaching. Also use AS little detergent as possible when washing, because this will make the pants fade faster. Preferably do not use fabric softener, because this is bad for the fibers.
Frequently Asked Question: Will my Jeans Shrink?
Nowadays, Jeans hardly ever shrink (if you follow the washing instructions). Did you have your pants shortened by us? Then we always added 0.5cm extra length to be on the safe side. Jeans do not shrink more than that in 99% of the cases.

3) Never use the dryer
Never put your jeans in the dryer because the high temperatures can cause them to shrink. In stretch jeans, the elastane fibers can melt together. This causes your pants to lose their elasticity and therefore also their beautiful fit and comfort. Finally, if you put your jeans in the dryer, they will wear out faster because the fibers are damaged. (ps: using the dryer unnecessarily is also less good for the environment)
