Sustainability
Since 2011, they have been able to support 14 water projects in countries including Uganda, Mozambique, Bangladesh and Tanzania, giving thousands of people sustainable access to clean water. Improving water, sanitation and hygiene work together to improve overall health. Access to sanitation, such as basic latrines in communities, prevents contamination of drinking water by human waste and reduces infections. In addition to the value of lives saved, there are other benefits of access to clean water. These include increased economic productivity, more time for education and savings on medical bills.
All their hand, body and hair care products are formulated with effective ingredients, at least 96% of which are of natural origin.
These natural ingredients contribute to the health and resilience of the skin. Think of shea butter, almond oil and hazelnut oil. Furthermore, all care products are free of parabens, silicones, petrochemicals, (water) polluting microplastics and the polluting sulphates SLS and SLES. All our products are produced in the Netherlands and are 100% vegan. The impact on the environment is also minimized with the packaging & transport.
Their mission in a nutshell:
ENJOY : Marie-Stella-Maris is a Dutch social enterprise with a mission. 'Access to clean water and hygiene for everyone, worldwide!' With the sale of mineral water, body care and luxury home perfumes, they contribute to this. The luxury body care products are made with ingredients of natural origin, the scents distinctive and unisex, and they design all our products with an eye for detail.
REFILL : To limit the impact on the environment, they focus on developing sustainable refill packaging. Refilling means less packaging material, less waste and less CO2 emissions. Refilling is therefore better for the planet, but also better for your wallet.
CONTRIBUTE : With your purchase you contribute. Structurally, part of our turnover goes to sustainable water projects. Since our foundation in 2011, we have contributed €1,800,000. With this, we can already help 85,000+ people with access to clean water. We aim to reach at least 100,000 people by 2026.
